Client Testimonials

Helping to give an improved and enriched lifestyle.

Gillian's story..

The day I arrived in Pathways House I was beaten, frightened, anxious and numb.
The staff made me feel welcomed and safe. Over the first few days I was gently and lovingly introduced to the Pathways House programme.

I was treated with respect and kindness although there were some simple rules and boundaries in place for the clients benefit to help us back to some kind of balance and routine.Just some of the key things I learned about were:

Myself, my thought process and my behaviours.
An introduction to how the 12 steps work.
The importance of honesty.
How to be open minded and really listen.
How to start getting spirituality into my life.

Pathways House has given me hope.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to spend some time here.
I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling and knows that they need help from people who really understand and care unconditionally.
No one or no thing can fix us but we can be guided. If we are open minded and put the work in then the chances of recovery are very high.

Rakesh's story..

My name is Rakesh and I am 31 years old. I have had a problem with drink and drugs for approximately 16 years.

My treatment at Pathways was my first visit to treatment for my addiction from my first day at Pathways I was made to feel comfortable and quickly became aware that I was in a warm, friendly place which would be essential to the beginning of recovery.

My personal journey was difficult but with the help and guidance of staff I became able to cope with major obstacles in my life, and I to this day owe them a great debt.

My whole experience at Pathways was positive, my advise to anyone who has the courage to accept treatment is to be aware that Pathways is a solution and be willing to accept help and you will succeed, enjoy the journey!

Graeme story..

My name is Graeme and I am a 40 year old addict / alcoholic. When I came to Pathways my life had once again become unmanagable. The gentle care and insightful therapy has got me back into health physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I am really grateful to Pathways for providing me a safe haven where I could work on myself at an easy pace, in a loving environment and get myself well again. The work is light and enlightening. The visits are a well needed distraction during the week and provide a change of scenery, particularly the visits to the countryside locations.

I would recommend Pathways as a place of professional, loving and gentle care for any person suffering from the blight of an addictive illness.
